Our People
We’re a team of perfectionists, but we also work very quickly. We set frustratingly high standards for everything we do, largely because of personal and collective pride, but also because we know that we’re only as good as our last piece of work. We’re good, but we’re always striving to do better.
Matthew Morgan, Managing and Creative Director

Matt has been an agency man for nearly 20 years, having also gained some valuable client-side perspective and experience, when he was fresh out of Durham University and ready to change the world, as a Brand Manager for a multinational glass firm.
He’s worked for a couple of big agency groups as a senior suit and has been the strategic lead to a host of blue chip clients including IBM, Sony, Tesco, HP, O2, The Welsh Development Agency, Blackberry, The AA, and The Ordnance Survey.
In early 2000 he was promoted to the board of an integrated agency in Knightsbridge that looked after high profile clients such as Sky and Tiscali. In his first year as MD, he oversaw a tripling of agency turnover, prompting Marketing Magazine to report that they were the fastest growing agency in the UK.
It was during this time that Matt forged a ridiculously successful working relationship with a Creative Director called Peter Allen. The pair of them left to start Agency Inc in 2003 after delivering two more years of record growth.
Matt is married with two lovely kids. And in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary still believes he can play rugby, cricket and golf to a near professional standard.
Steve Barton, Non-Exec Director & Social Media Advisor

Steve Barton arrived in London in 1990 when OgilvyOne transferred him from New York. Since then, he has managed international communications and developed award-winning strategies for blue chip companies including Microsoft, Save the Children, Compaq, IBM, Kodak, Holiday Inn and Unilever.
After setting up and running successful communications agencies in London, including Jones Mason Barton Antenen, Leonardo and Keevill Barton Kershaw, Steve returned to Ogilvy in 2008. There he is Global Brand Partner on Zurich Insurance looking after their online communications.
Steve is a director of word of mouth marketing company Advokator. In 2007, he was elected president of the UK Word Of Mouth Marketing Association in the UK, now serving as Treasurer. He is a regular speaker and chair at conferences around the world, on word of mouth marketing, social media, digital and direct marketing.
Away from the office Steve’s real passion is baseball, and he can wax lyrically about the speed of the pitch and the swing of the bat to anyone that shows a modicum of interest.
David Downing, Senior Planning Consultant

After graduating with a BA in Business, David started his working life as a shipbroker in the City. A chance meeting with an old friend led to the unlikely move into market research where he spent four years. Wanting to be more than a number cruncher, he applied and was surprised and delighted to be employed as an Account Planner by Saatchi and Saatchi. He stayed for 11 years before moving first to Publicis and then to Young and Rubicam.
David was then reunited with many of his old colleagues at the fledgling M&C Saatchi, where he stayed for six years before working for himself as a freelance planner.
David has over 20 years experience working in top London agencies in many different markets and brands, including Silk Cut, Fosters, Pirelli and Renault.
He has an extraordinary capacity to derive insight from market research and trends, delivering straightforward planning solutions to clients in market conditions that always seem to be complicated and multi-faceted.
Outside work he can be found on the ski slopes in winter and on the golf course in summer.
Paul Brooks, Non-Exec Director

Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant many years ago, when you could still actually fail the exams. He began his career at Beecham Pharmaceuticals and, after a spell with the Rank Organisation, returned to the pharmaceutical world with Pfizer.
His move into general management roles began with Parke Davis and Warner Lambert, followed by 12 years in the financial services sector as Deputy Chief Executive of TSB. He then decided to try something completely different by managing a large city law firm, followed by the TV Production company behind ‘The Big Breakfast’, which was part owned by Bob Geldof. He became a full time management consultant in 2000 working for various government bodies and another law firm in the city.
He spends his spare time sailing in the Solent, or watching as much rugby (England) and cricket (Hampshire) as can be managed. His stated aim this year is to educate a baseball lover in the finer arts of cricket…
Jane Taylor, Client Services Director

Jane joined Agency Inc in 2006 after five years in the marketing department of the British Horseracing Board. With hindsight, she possibly needed a break from horse racing as it’s also her all-consuming private passion, but ignoring that we promptly put her in charge of the Ascot Racecourse account the following year. She’s also managed and advised clients in a breadth of sectors including health, financial services, property and entertainment.
She gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in 2010, and returned to Agency Inc as Client Services Director at the start of 2012. And both mum and son are still indulging their now joint passion for horse racing at every available opportunity.
Jean-Paul Misso, Art Director

Jean-Paul has been an agency man for 17 years working for a breadth of integrated agencies in London. Prior to joining Agency Inc in 2009 he worked with longstanding clients in the technology, transport, automotive and financial services sectors – including Sony Computer Entertainment, Transport for London, Ford Europe, Black & Decker, Salter, Nationwide Building Society, RBS and Maersk Shipping.
He’s a proud father of twin boys and a daughter, all of whom he is patiently training in the ways of the Jedi. He’s lived in Twickenham, south-west London, all of his life, which explains why he’s a committed season ticket holder at nearby Manchester United.
Geraint Williams, Senior Artworker

Grandad Ger has racked up 23 years agency experience working in a diverse range of studios specializing in areas such as media, pharmaceuticals, and technology. He’s worked with some tiny clients in the past such as Diageo, Unilever, Philips, Pfizer, Bertoli, Lloyds TSB, and Microsoft. For Agency Inc he has worked across our entire client base since joining us in 2008.
He runs a full time taxi service at the weekend for two daughters, two sons, and two grandchildren! His powers of prediction when it comes to international rugby matches are legendary.
Anna Edwards, Account Director

Anna was one of the first people brave enough to join the founding directors of Agency Inc in 2004, and we haven’t let her leave ever since. She has amassed more than 13 years agency-side experience, following 12 years on the client- side with BT, where she rose to the position of Marketing Manager for a corporate clients division. She’s worked with clients in every sector, in particular building strong working relationships with Companies House (public sector) and Generali (insurance) which have lasted for more than 8 years.
She normally spends her weekends heading east to Paris to see her sister, west to Wales to see her mum, or into town with her dangerously glamorous Italian friends.
Helen Aldred, Account Executive

Helen’s early career plans took an unexpected turn away from clinical psychology and towards advertising in 2010, after she became fascinated with consumer psychology whilst studying for her degree at Bangor University. She joined us as a Graduate Trainee and quickly began grabbing responsibility and getting involved wherever she could, convincing us to offer her a permanent position as an Account Executive at the start of 2011.
She’s a tremendous rower, a frequent gym goer, and she hops on a train to visit the wilds of north Wales most weekends. In her ‘spare’ time she’s now studying for a masters degree in consumer psychology, requiring her to attend lectures in central London after work and often joining online conference and study groups before work. As you do.
